Community Outreach
Our Philanthropic Arm
In addition to donating Athletic Training Services to local schools and sporting events, our family of clinics participate in community and charity events throughout the year. Find out how we integrate ourselves where we live, work, and play.
We serve and participate in our communities whole-heartedly by donating services, volunteering countless hours, and actively participating in community events and charitable causes throughout the year.
Athletic Training Services
For nearly two decades, Clemson Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation has actively served the community by donating Athletic Training Services to 30 schools in South and North Carolina, including high schools and secondary institutions. We employ full time Athletic Trainers to provide injury assessment and prevention on site for the athletes to receive immediate medical attention.
Local Charities
Every Christmas, in keeping with the true spirit of the holiday season, we donate to over 30 local charities throughout our geographical locations. Most of these donations are purposely centered around children.
Annual Community Events
Many of our clinics join together to participate in annual community events, including the Summerville Flowertown Festival, the Cooper River Bridge Run, and the Midnight Flight in Anderson.
Pulling together as a team, we hosted our first annual STRIVE for 5 – 5K for FARA event in 2010 in Clemson, South Carolina and proudly raised over $9,300 for Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) to aid in research to find a cure for Friedreich’s Ataxia.
"Bump and Bruise Clinics"
Each Saturday during the high school football season, our staff volunteers on Saturday mornings (in conjunction with Blue Ridge Orthopaedics) to provide early intervention "Bump and Bruise Clinics" for all high school football players.
School Sports Physicals
Several times throughout the year, our clinicians and Athletic Trainers volunteer a Saturday morning for School Sports Physicals, ensuring that athletes are ready to get into the game in a healthy and safe manner!
